This Wednesday, December 11, the Extraordinary Congress of the International Federation of Associated Football ratified the designation of Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay as the venue for the opening matches of the 2030 FIFA World Cup given the commemoration of the centenary of the soccer team tournament.

At the Centenario Stadium in Montevideo, where the history of the World Cups began in 1930, one of the three opening matches of the World Cup Centennial will be played

The rest of the tournament will be in the other venues defined by FIFA: Spain, Portugal and Morocco; thus acquiring the World Cup an increasingly global character, being held in six countries and on three continents.

The Extraordinary FIFA Congress ratified the designation of Uruguay along with Argentina and Paraguay as the host of the opening matches of the 2030 FIFA World Cup
